Sourdough Cracker

This is a very tasty recipe for making a cracker from sourdough. When stored in an airtight container, this cracker will probably keep good for a week if not longer.

Ingredients:

  • 200g sourdough starter
  • 100g flour
  • 80g olive oil
  • 50g seeds (sunflower, sesame)
  • 6g salt

Preparation:

  • mix all ingredients well
  • put dough on a baking paper
  • use a spoon to flatten out the dough until it is roughly 3-5mm thick
  • (optionally) score the dough with a knife to make it easier to break into even pieces after baking

Baking:

  • 180°C for 30-35min

Alternative options:

  • use 100g flour and 100g water with some apple vinegar instead of 200g starter
  • sprinkle seeds and salt on top after flattening the dough
  • use other kinds of toppings like grated cheese, herbs or spices
